runway gradient

runway gradient
The average slope, expressed as a percentage, between two ends or points on a runway. It is the difference in elevation between two ends divided by the runway length, provided there are no intervening points or the runway profile lies more than five feet above or below a straight line joining the two ends of the runway. In excess of five feet, the runway profile is segmented, and aircraft data are applied for each segment separately.
